My story
In 1989, young and full of adventure, I moved to Argentina for love.
During a family visit in the province of Misiones, I first encountered Yerba Mate, the ritual, the centuries-old tradition, and the expression: “Matecito?”
Something like conviviality begins with a Matecito: a moment together, connecting, and paying attention to each other while enjoying Yerba Mate.
I soon saw it everywhere: people with a mate cup in hand and a thermos under their arm, on the street, at work, and in the park.
Back in Buenos Aires, I continued to drink Yerba Mate daily. What began out of curiosity grew into a regular ritual.
Since then, I have experienced the simplicity of sharing every day and a sustained energy and focus that carry me through my day.
Whoever drinks mate tastes the moment
From then to now
I’m delighted to bring Yerba Mate to the Dutch market.
It feels like a bridge between two worlds: the Argentinian tradition I know so well and the Dutch conviviality that connects us.
A while ago, after years of incubation, I finally made the decision. I travelled to the plantations, sat at the table with the farmers, and savoured the many flavours. This is how my desire to share this special infusion — and especially the feeling of togetherness — grew here.
This journey marked a new beginning. What began as curiosity became a mission rooted in the conviction that small rituals hold significant meaning.
I wish you a world of beautiful Matecito moments.
Ingrid
